Ok so I have taken this cover out today, no excess including full roadside recovery 41pm...when I look at the policy wording I believe its good value and something tells me wise move big chap.

Looking at the wording there is no mention of camchain anywhere that I can see..

I asked about this today and the guy on the phone Craig had to speak to a BMW claims manager to establish if it was covered, however, he mistook my enquiry for final drive chain, we cleared up what was to be asked and I said actually when your asking....what about the final drive chain ! Is that covered.

Duly off he went and I was most surprised when he e mailed me back saying BOTH were covered. I challenged the final drive cover and I await his response.. anyone have any thoughts or experience of that area.

Stuart

I just retrieved the reply..

Dear Stuart,

Thank you for your telephone call earlier today.

I can confirm that the timing chain and the final drive chain are both listed components on your Motorrad Insured Warranty policy for mechanical failures as per our BMW Claims Manager.

If you require any further information please let me know.

Kind Regards

Timing chain / cam chain is the third item in the engine section :) Did you miss it like you miss corners? :p
