just looking on the bay and came across this

May get them to fit one when i have the service done. if its going to save the price of a sump in the future when the warranty has run out

Problem with the sump is corrosion, changing the sump plug for something else will not correct the issue.

Agree with that, but it would make changing the oil a lot less messy. I always seem to get oil all over, including on the pipes and me

I thought it was corrosion around the plug and when the plug is removed its damaging the sump? i may have mis understood other posts then
