Hey guys,

I?ve pulled the trigger and ordered some ilmberger winglets for my gen 4. I understand that you need to drill the original fairings to fit them but I was wondering if anyone?s fitted them and has anyone any positive advice? Also, any pictures? The only pics I can find are the ilmberger promotional ones, it would be nice to see them fitted to normal bikes.

Winglets

I would be a little weary about drilling and mounting winglets to the 2020+ Gen 4 OEM fairings. The winglets on the first M1000RR are secured via brackets and also have a carbon fibre support brace.

That?s one of my concerns but surely ilmberger would have ran tests? I?ve emailed them, asking if there?s been any complaints about damage at speed

Winglets

I personally wouldn?t both fitting them and save the original fairings.

I thought the Ilmberger came with a brace for the bodywork, and whilst it's not as strong as OEM I expect it to work.

The ilmberger winglets do come with a brace. My mate has a RSV with wings and the RSV wings are just bolted straight onto the fairings, no bracket, that?s how they come from the factory
