Hi all just bought a 2012 s1000rr. Bikes standard and in Motorsport colours. Wanted to have a read of what people think of them and any tips regarding bits. Also want some advise on upgrading bits cheers

I pick the bike up Thursday , took it for test ride Saturday and bought it. Couldn't ride one and not buy it from first ride! Prior to this had a k5 750 but unfortunately last year got knocked off by a woman at a t junction pulling out and not looking! Been looking at a few bits for it : screen- tail tidy and was looking at exhaust systems for it, can't beat the noise of a good system. Had a full akrapovic on Gsxr previous and it transformed the bike!

Oh also mate how do I get onto for sale items and all the other locked sections? Do I need to upgrade account? It still says I need to write a welcome thing but obviously I have, cheers in advanced

Hi buddy yea thanks a lot! They are great bikes! I'd proberly still have mine tbh if it wasent wrote off! Glad got this one tho,only rode it once obviously but rode anence!

Hi buddy cheers! Your new one looks amense! Grm tail tidy and 7x5 plate and new screen coming so keep me busy Friday! Can't wait to get it now. I keep looking at exhausts not sure what route to go mate, can get a akrapovic or yoshi system for ?1000ish give or take ?50. Just think will be a nice finishing touch and sound amazin! Any recommendations on exhausts?

My long Akra is standard and is a bit marmite to some folks. Beavis just got a short Arrow for his and it looks minted in photos but even better in the flesh. Yoshis always remind me of the swords in the Kill Bill movies, Japanese engineering beyond what is required and sooooo beautiful.

Any quality exhaust will do the job Con, its personal preference rather than extra performance, although I'm sure I know which one Uma Thurman would choose!!

Keep us posted on the mods and pictures please.

Hi mate yea I will keep you posted I'm not 100% which to go for still! do you know if aftermarket filters make a difference? Heard the original bmw ones are really good! I'm gonna sell my old Gsxr system and choose a system then! I was thinking I could buy some stock headers and cut cat off and weld 2 pipes to my Gsxr Carbon trilobel can! But then also think just sell it and buy a new one lol! Looked at some places for mapping to suite exhaust and around ?399 for these! I bet it will sound insane with a system. Yea the arrow systems about a fair bit cheaper then akro or yoshi might be a good idea

Bought a full Arrow system coming Saturday hopefully so that will be on then need it mapping! Will upload a pic of bike once got it fitted
