Re: Tyre Size

Have you experienced any issues with DTC using non-standard tyre sizes on track? I've only used 200/55 rears this season so I have not had any problems. I have slicks and wets on order for next year but I'm fairly reluctant to invest in the HP RCK3 to recalibrate the DTC each time I change tyres.

Yes had problem when I first used bike on track after first service, using KR108 back 195/65 bike went into safe mode whilst on track, turned bike off and back on fault cleared. Took bike to dealer to check on error, was a circumference error, not ever happened since done loads of track days, and since June been using Dunlop Moto 2 tyres with 195/75 profile, on my 5th pair no issues at all

Tyre Size

Was told that re-calibration is only nec when changing susp settings as in pre-loads? I've had no probs when changing tyre sizes.

There are two types of calibration. The first can be done via the DDC setup menu and is required each time changes to preload are made. The HP Race Calibration Kit 3 allows you to make changes to the DTC parameters in order to take into account differences in tyre size and circumference.

That's interesting. The issue seems to be fairly sporadic and unpredictable. Most seem not to encounter problems and I'm keen to avoid purchasing a HP RCK3 and retaining the factory warranty.

Lean Angle Display

It is available in all modes on the 2015 model. You just need to turn the lean angle display on (BANK DISP ON) in the setup menu.
