Help, Melton Mowbray to Matlock

Has anyone on here got a good route from Melton Mowbray to Matlock without going on M/W or dual carraigeways?

Fosseway excellent when u near Leicester sides , nr Melton
But believe u got a6 and a46 to contend with. both dual carriageways though, high speeds but too much police and back tyre wear. I know Leicester real well if u want to make a ride of it

Thanks Jay, Im riding up on my Tiger 2 up for a gentle weekend in the Peak district. Wanted to go North from Melton Mowbray then cut across but on the map it all looks a bit busy.
