Grating sound from rear wheel area

Noticed when putting the bike away tonight as I spin the rear wheel on the paddock stand there is a noticeable grating sound from the rear wheel sprocket area no movement but it does seem to be causing a drag. Wheel bearing issue?? 2013 bike 2700 miles.

short version:

I was at BMW dealer few days ago, the part number for the rear wheel bearings has recently changed and my dealer couldn't find out why even when contacting germany. Might be worth asking ur dealer to find out see if they have more luck. He did say a part number change doesn't normally happen for a small reason (example used, if a rubber seal changes colour etc)
