Gen 4 Tank Panels Removal

Has anyone removed the Gen 4 panels either side of the fuel tank? Any tips / info appreciated, also are the inserts relatively easy to remove and install?

Really easy! Remove seat and two screws under it attached to side panels, remove tank top cover. they are hooked under tank push down and pull out. Inserts just pop off when side panels removed

his channel is very useful as he?s done quite a few things to the Gen 4 which he?s made videos of.

I found the tank cover really difficult to remove the first time. There are a couple of plastic clips plus two velcro pads. The velcro was initially well and truly stuck. But I didn't know it was velcro until I got it off.

Yes, I saw on the video that there is velcro pads that look hard to un stick. Plastic clips can be a pain to undo too.
