I'll be there as long as there are some Geordies there to help me with the language barrier and its after the TT.

Trackdays

There is no affiliation between the forum and bmw uk so unfortunately no discounts on bmw trackdays. If anyone knows a TD organiser who wants to do something with us then I am interested.

BMW no longer host their own trackdays but they do offer Track & Training Days through Focused Events starting at ?329. As for trackday discounts I'm currently working on that for next season...

I think North Yorks would be good?
Yes Mac I concur, you could meet us Southerners on the way up around Peterbogger or Horncastle?

I know a few places to stay in North Yorks, all pubs with good beer and reasonable food..

Oh and a day out from Nrth Yorks to Kielder Water / Scottish Border n back would be fun :encouragement:

It always comes down to geography with these meets. I suggested north yorks for last year but got a lot of ‘its too far away’. Id love to have a meet up here, I know all the good roads, the riding and scenery is superb, infact you really need a weekend to make the most of it as there is so much good stuff to ride, I could fill 2 days without much trying. If there was enough interest i could probably arrange some decent accommodation with a group discount for a couple of nights which would make it more sociable....

You're on Soof!

Ok :) lets make it happen. I will look at some dates for next year and start a thread in due course.

I'm up for nth yorks Andy. Are we ok to let people who are not loyal to the brand come along, can't think of anyone that springs to mind except maybe any Suzuki owners :) only kidding Mac

No more defections allowed this year - Mac took the only allowed one. Bananaman and Phil have to stick with Beemers :p

Possibly KTM 1290 GT, I just need to test ride one. I reckon it should be as quick as the S1000RR on the twisty bits. I will be sad to see it go :sorrow:

Ridden the current SDR, which is pretty similar, good fun, more like riding a crosser than a sports bike round bends, engine has plenty of poke too. No autoblipper on the GT though unless they've changed it for 2018.
