Fasteners

The S1000RR is my first bike with Torx fasteners. Can anyone tell me DEFINITIVELY if the fasteners on the bike are Torx or Torx Plus? I am of course most anxious not to strip anything and both types seem to fit albeit in slightly different sizes. I'm confused....

Torx

When stripping my S1000RR I found both Torx and Torx Plus bolts. I use Beta tools and to date I haven't stripped a single bolt or fastener. So long as you torque them to the correct specification you should be fine.

I have been using torx for 4 years and not had any issues.

Torque settings for most bolts/fasteners are described in the service rom download.
