Engine issues

HELLO, I'm a new owner of the BMW 2010 S1000RR from Hong Kong, I have a question here, if your engine have some issues or the vehicle kilometers of travel is too high, will you buy a second hand but with good condition engine to replace it?

assume you dont know the bike or engine well?,you could be jumping from 1 bad 1 to another,personally,depending what your current issue,i'd be striping my engine and getting it refreshed,fully.expensive,but so is nother 2nd hand engine that might go pop before you know it
