I ordered mine last Wednesday and taking delivery on March 1st. Squeezed out a ?600 discount, ?50 off both Shortfall and Tyre Insurance. Haven't decided if I will buy the accessories (including Akropovic FS) from the same dealer, but they're offering me 10%. Anyone been able to do better in the past?
They're also giving me decent buck on my old bike, whereas many other dealers were not even willing to touch the Ducunti.

Sounds like a good deal, I got cash of and rear seat but don't have a trade in. Where did you get that from?

Just popped into my local dealer to see the 2015 S1000RR in the flesh (f**k me it's tiny!) and arrange a test ride. Young lady warned me that there is a wait until possibly September-ish (I think she said something like that - was a bit shocked at the length of the wait and was also a bit distracted by the young lady who was arranging the test ride for me), although once I've put down a deposit and gotten onto the queue, they might be able to move it forward a bit.

Dumb question(s) time - is the wait going to be pretty much the same whichever dealer I order from, and does the fact that there is a mahoosive waiting list kill any chance of negotiating a discount, or is there still mileage in playing dealers off against each other?

Just popped in to see my bike in the dealers yesterday and he told me the wait list is until November! Lucky i put my deposit down last November :)
As for a discount don't expect anything huge of price, it'll be more thrown in accessories, definitely worth playing dealers off against each other thou before you part with your money

2nd that about play them of, try as many as you can and ring BMW uk up about waiting list as my deal told me back end of April until I said I would go somewhere else and get it week after next :congratulatory:

Hi Andy,

- where is this beauty located :). Have libido, will travel.
- there are always a number of muppets who put deposits down on new bikes to get on the list and then bail out because they either can't afford to do the deal when the bike arrives, fail finance, can't get insured, or find something else to buy, or a **** with no intention of buying but wanted bragging rights in the pub (you get your deposit back if you buy unseen and change your mind). It happened with the HP4s and they are rarer than the new model will be. So keeping in touch with your preferred dealer sales guy/gal may well pay off with a cancelled order, there will be some just like cally has described.
- dealers giving discounts on a new bike with long waiting lists when you want to jump the queue... Would you give a discount if you were the dealer?

Another option might be to ask about demonstrator stock, it has to be turned over fairly quick, but these are often sold too, but they do usually come fully loaded :).

Just got back from the dealer. Test ride didn't blow me away, but that's more to do with me riding conservatively on an unfamiliar bike, on damp roads and in moderate traffic, than any deficiencies in the bike. Other than lack of initial throttle response in rain mode (which did not inspire confidence pulling into or across traffic), the bike was very easy to ride and clearly more capable that its rider will ever be.

No movement on price - might have been able to get sales girl to blink first, but she grabbed the chap who I assume is the sales manager and he wasn't going to blink at all. Very keen that I should get my order on the system so that they can try to speed things up, rather than waiting and joining an even longer queue - which suggests that monthly targets might be able to be used as leverage, but poker ain't my game. Expects to probably be able to get my bike by June/July - but could have it next week if I wanted black (or red - no-one wants red).

Put down a deposit on a S 1000RR Sport, motorsport colours, performance pack, alarm and pillion seat (will get the pegs on ebay). As the alarm and pillion seat are dealer fit parts, I just need enough people to cancel orders of Sports in motorsports colours with performance pack and the precious will be mine.

Dick lovett bristol phoned me yesterday they have a motorsport coloured sport with forged wheels that someone doesnt want now
