Best Milage to pick up a Gen 2

Hi

Originally I wanted a near new gen 3 s1000rr however insurance woes but that one to bed.

So I am now looking for a Gen 2 at around ?9k, later this year.

What is the best mileage to pick one up to avoid immediate big services & other expenses.

I believe 18k is the big service interval. It will also partly depend on previous service history. A decent dealer should be able to give you the full service history (if it has been done with BMW) and advise on what will be due at the next one along with costs.

mine started to get a little costly above 25k (cam chain / cush drive etc)

Thanks Gents, I generally buy bikes under 10k but most euro bikes have the big services between 9k & 12k
