Thanks for the tip yes his stuff is great but I'm cheating on this and letting the pros do it.I fitted mine in the summer. Came up perfect. If you take your time and you’ll do it better than the professionals I’ve used. It took me a full weekend to do a full set. You can take it on and off a number of times and it still goes on perfectly. Good stuff that Tony James PPF. Felt vinyl squeegee and diabetic syringes off Amazon are best for removing air/water. The needles are so fine you can’t see any marks. J
Meant to say M1000RR. Ilmberger brackets are silver instead of black.Exact copies of the M1000R. The bracket bolts to the bottom of the fork leg next to the brake caliper and the bottom mudguard mount. Makes no real difference but looks trick. IMHO. J
Just had mine changed was good for 8,500 miles....Only took a day and was all good hopefully this one lasts.Just had a quick check and water pump failures is a known issue.
It may be worth while people checking this. I only found out because I was fitting the exhaust. Had I not been doing this, I wouldn't of known.
Ahh, thanks for that. I change all my fluids yearly but wasn’t particularly checking closely for metal in the coolant. Will do from now on. JJust had a quick check and water pump failures is a known issue.

If you do a search you'll find failures with less miles and having to be replaced multiple times. I usually get my bike booked in as first job of the day. This way I can wait for them to finish and then get on with my day.Just had mine changed was good for 8,500 miles....Only took a day and was all good hopefully this one lasts.
It's all very well it is covered by warranty, at the moment, but the inconvenience of having to get the bike in will be annoying. Then there is the issue of failure after warranty.Ahh, thanks for that. I change all my fluids yearly but wasn’t particularly checking closely for metal in the coolant. Will do from now on. J
I just peeked in my coolant a saw some sparkles. Does anyone know what happens if the pump fails? Does it seize and cause bigger issues or does the problem stay limited to the pump? I Have a big trip planned I’m thinking I should change it quickly.Ahh, thanks for that. I change all my fluids yearly but wasn’t particularly checking closely for metal in the coolant. Any recommendations for matte paint? I ordered an eazi-grip pre cut set, even though I only required the nosecone. It’s terrible, leaves the finish looking hazy, patchy and looks terrible. I wasn’t impressed by the actual area the PPF covers either as it leaves some important areas unprotected.I fitted mine in the summer. Came up perfect. I think I used the same kit and the nose came out spot on. But the bike is not matte. Took a while though. If anything, they could of added more pieces for the pillion seat cover, ie the top. Instead you get pointless pieces.Any recommendations for matte paint? I ordered an eazi-grip pre cut set, even though I only required the nosecone.
