Alpha Rearsets - changing pegs

Anyone changed pegs on Alpha Rearsets?

I unbolted the brake lever one...and it and the lever came off the bike. But short of percussive encouragement (smacking it with a hammer) I can't see how to separate the lever from the peg.

I feel sure I'm missing an easy trick...

It should just be a simple case of removing the end cap on the foot peg and then unscrewing the bolt inside to release it.

Yeah that's what I thought...tighter than a nun's...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if a bit of loctite has been applied when they were assembled.

I've moved it 3-4mm out. I'll try to lever it rather than smacking it

Levered it and then twatted the last few mm.

New one slides in with ease, less girth is sometimes a good thing.
