ive finally had a quick ride on my 15 today and wanted to know how people find the throttle response. Ive all ways had qat's on all my bikes and find this oe throttle really slack.can it be adjusted in any way, im not after the qat necessarily just to crisp it up?

Throttle Response

I asked BMW UK the same question many months ago and they stated that the only way to alter throttle response was to purchase the Race Calibration Kit 3 and associated enabling code. Unfortunately, as its a fully electronic ride-by-wire system, there are no quick action throttles available for the 2015 model.

I also thought it felt slack and had play when I got my bike, I'm more used to it now but it took a while to adjust the grip for pinning the throttle too.
It doesn't seem to be an issue for me now.

Throttle Response

All my previous bikes have had quick action throttles fitted and there is certainly a noticeable difference when you use an OEM throttle again. I have just gotten used to the S1000RR's throttle response and to be honest I don't really have an issue with it after a full seasons use.

cheers all, looks like getting used to it will be the answer then :) I will question it on the next service just in case they have the equipment/calibration kit to alter it.
