I've just booked mine in with Vines, Guildford for a couple of weeks time. Initially they told me it was not available but on checking they said it is now. I was quoted ?422 as well.
Ye just been given the same quoted the same by Preston Bmw but they had not heard of it on the 2015 only as option on the 2016till I rang, there not sure of all the spec or what modes it can be used on. They where saying that on 2016 if you brake hard and it kicks in it puts the hazards on and flashes the brake light, anyone heard about that one?
So I asked what mode's it can be operated in and what other functions it may operate, there going to ring BMW and get the full details and ring me back.

It works in Rain, Sport and Race mode.
Does that mean it can be used in user as well?
Certi, what dealer did you use?
I phoned East Kilbride last week about this and they were pretty vague about it but eventually said ?357 plus fitting. I'll get it , probably before I go to the TT.

Thanks for the input all - I ordered the software from the dealer yesterday, they said it would be closer to 2 days to get the activation code - so should be applied either Friday or Tuesday next week depending if they can squeeze me in. Similar price levels to on here ?357 + fitting = around ?400

If it won't work in user mode what's the point? Not saying it's a daft question as nothing would surprise me!

I contacted my dealer today to be told it's ?323 including VAT and 1.5 hours labour to install and set up - ?460 in all.
?140 labour to install a code?!

I know, this is the same place that was going to charge ?15/lever to fit HP levers and also charge ?210 for a second service then agreed to match another dealer I got a price of at ?175. I wish these places would provide consistent pricing.

and was given same answer, apparrently not available in user mode!!
so to be honest seems not much use to me ((
he said he will do some more research on it and let me know
but the technician he spoke to thought if was in user mode ,rider shouldn't need it as he /she knows what there doing?
im 51 and been riding since my teens so I think I do know what I'm doing.
if this is correct what is the purpose of this abs pro? At ?422?
but that seems odd to me as why then have it on s1000rr?
surely if riding one of these machines u should know what u are doing!!

That's BS by BMW if accurate. Only active when the bike is limited. It should be on UNLESS you disable it.
