2010 or 2012 ?

I sold my 2010 thunder grey to put the deposit down on the house, now i am looking to buy another, I am looking at some 2010,11 and the newer 12 model but obviously the newer 12 model is more money, my question to you lot is, is it worth the extra? I have read online the differences but in the real world, can we tell the differences? I prefer the rear end on the 12 but not enough to pay an extra ?1000 or so lol. Any info would be great

Ridden a 2011 and 2014 bike, have to say I couldn't tell any difference except the gear change was smoother on the 11 bike
