My bike is due the 18k service in a couple of weeks
It got a new camshaft and valves at the 12k service so I'm presuming I don't need them to check the valve clearances this time round as this is done every 18k.
Is the 18 like the 6 but just with new spark plugs ?
Any idea of price ?

The plugs are not vastly expensive. But you've a special case. I think you'd have to ask BMW what would be required to maintain the service history...

The 18 also includes replacement of the oil in the forks. But as you say the valve clearance and timing doesn't need checking if it was only done 6k ago.. So you'd be looking at the cost of a 6k service plus the labour involved in replacing spark plugs and renewing fork oil. You'd be best discussing it with whoever does your servicing. I'm sure they'd be able to give you an accurate quote taking into account what has been done recently.

Thanks lads
I was on to bmw yesterday and they phoned me back this morning
€510 for service and another €210 for front brake pads
Service to include spark plugs and fork oil
No need to check valve clearances
Expensive or about right ?

Just changed pads myself and saved a fortune. Dont get me started on what they want for a set of grips 😲😲😲
