What upgrades to Gen 3?

Had my gen 3 on track a few times now and love it. Not made any changes or upgrades apart from a new chain. Run in slick mode mostly, made no adjustments to set up.
What upgrades or changes have people made or would recommend to start improving and fine tuning for track?

You're going to have to narrow down how far you want to go...and what you want.

Areas to consider
Protection - Engine covers -> bodywork
Suspension - have it setup -> replacing it
Tyres - more grip more margin. Ready for slicks?
Brakes - Fluid/pads
Controls - clipons, rearsets.

thanks Alex. I was really after people saying what they've done, regardless of cost etc, just interested to see what people have done (not necessarily thinking I would follow suit).

nb. forgot to say, I replaced bmw fairings with cheap Chinese road fairings, and have gb racing engine protection.

RS2E flash and short throttle are good upgrades
 
What pace/group are you in? What equipment are you using? Road tyres? Are you going to ride to the track and back?

just moved up to fast group.
Bought bike from a dealership so it has 2 years warranty. Didn't want to fully track it at this stage so I can make use of the warranty if needs be, hence the replacement cheap road fairings.
been using TD slicks and warmers and trailer bike to track although looking at a van. Can easily stick mirrors etc back on for road but not sure any road riding is going to happen tbh.
Plan is to gradually upgrade but also wary about doing anything that let's bmw get out of any potential warranty claims. Probably will leave major changes for after the the 2 years are up.
Great to see the list of stuff you've done, certainly got my credit card quivering!

Gen 3 plenty good enough for fast group as standard, just get suspension set up for you. Forged wheels if you haven't got them, spare for wets, I found vo2's the best for grip/wear rate. ZO4 pads if you feeling flush ....

Depending on your weight, lighter fork springs and a bigger air gap gave me more feel plus a front pot lets you separate compression and rebound.

V02s are impossible to find at decent price unfortunately :(

Even Bob has problems with supply
 
Should use medium front for more support according to Bob. Unless its really cold (under 12degrees)

I've tried them both and I tbh there's very little in it for me - just a bit more feel from the soft against the extra support of the medium.

so suspension set up would require purchase of the potentiometer for the front forks?
