Hi all,

Anyone got a guide as to parts and placement for a hardwired usb outlet suitable for running/charging 2 devices?

I get that it's either a 12v waterproof socket which you put a USB adapter in...or solely a waterproof USB charger. Just would like to *see* examples. (Assuming someone has done it).

Best parts to use?
How do you get an ignition switched solution?

waterproof USB port from eBay for about 7 quid from China, and a small relay that switches on with the rear light.
Thats how ive done it on mine.

It's worth checking out Powerlet, sold in the UK by Bykebitz.co.uk. It's high quality stuff which developed in the marine market in the U.S. It now has developed to bikes and there is lots of choice. It's not cheap stuff but the quality speaks for itself.

I got 2 usbs on my bike for charging headset and phone which I run off battery with inline fuse
