He may prove to be an inspired choice...but with the Reps. controlling the house and the Supreme Court for the next 2 years they will steamroller a lot of things. And going unopposed is dangerous, when it's Neanderthal, bible bashers and race/sexists that are in charge.

The good thing is he can reverse the position on Syria overnight, which is why the Russians are happy, Clinton would have continued in the same way. I think we'll see a different Trump in power to the one that campaigned.

Although you are technically correct alex, this situation is not the typical party line scenario. Trump will have to work hard to get the support of congress.
