I was watching a documentary yesterday where the owner of TAS racing said it cost him about 50k all in to get him and the teams to run in the TT, private entrants have to self fund by local sponsors and friends etc...

I'll be marshaling this year on a couple of days :unconscious:

Yep, ill be at Bungalow and Verandah. thought i might as well! doesn't happen without the marshals and ill be watching anyway. get a little bit closer (if thats possible) to the action..

You just need to register with the TTMA (TT marshals association) here - http://www.iomttma.com

1) Go to online sign on then register
2) They'll send you a password and warrant number
3) Pick the day/s you want to do, sector and location
4) turn up on the day

ever so slightly simplified. you'll need a briefing and to receive high-vis etc but it really is that easy

Let me know if you decide to do it Dave, i'm doing practice sessions on the 1st and 2nd

No probs, from memory there is a need for minimum strafing leves per session of about 500 marshals!

You can, if you want, attend an official training sessions free of charge for an EFR program in advance but there is no requirement to. I haven't and the vast majority don't.
