Hi all, looking for some advice on suspension setup for slick / user mode, have it in factory settings and it feels very stiff. Any and all advice welcome. Tnx

Slick is a default mode, meaning that apart from adjusting the Damping (rebound and compression), Slick mode is fixed as is.
User Mode on the other hand is totally customisable.
What DDC setting are you using (Sport, Race or Slick) within User Mode, and is this for road or track use?
DDC in Sport is most complaint, Race is firmer and Slick offers the greatest support.

For road use, in User Mode, I like the DDC in Sport.
Within any of these sub modes, the DDC rebound and compression settings can be adjusted to suit within the "Setup" menu, then the set up DDC sub menu

As Jay says, the first thing to sort though is the appropriate sag settings front and rear.

When making any preload adjustment, the DDC must be re-calibrated, which is an option within the set up DDC sub menu.

Alternatively, you might wish to consider seeing a suspension specialist such as MCT for a full set up?

Thanks for the replies, I have yet to use user mode, slick mode I use a lot but was wanting to soften it up for road riding, other than that I use race mode which I find a little stiff also but I do not like the way the traction control limits the power and would like to alter that, I weigh 96kg in leathers, the bike is a 3rd gen sports so 199bhp, I simply wanted some advice on the DDC I do not know enough to play about with rebound, I recently tried -3 on front and -2 on rebound and seemed better.

I think what I am looking for for is what you have touched on Oli, I am looking at setting the bike up for my weight and personal riding style, I will have to try and set up the bike in user mode but is there a way to alter the electronic interference as in when the abs and traction control kicks in?

I would suggest exploring the User Mode as switching between DDC in Sport vs Slick makes a huge difference straight away.

From there, the damping settings can be adjusted based on your personal preference.

User Mode simply allows you to pick and choose your desired ABS, DTC, DDC and Engine response rather then having a default mode where all is fixed.

My personal User Mode set up is
ABS - Race (minimal intrusion, but with roll over protection and ABS at the rear).
DTC - Slick (wheelie control is essentially disabled).
DDC - Sport (most compliant damping profile).
Engine - Slick (closest to a 1-1 throttle response)

Traction control can be adjusted from -7 to +7 by simply toggling the DTC button on the left hand switch gear.
Think of the DTC "modes" as primarily altering the level of wheelie control intervention, whereas the DTC level alters the amount of Traction Control
