Stock chain adjustment

So, the s1000rr bike's stock chain (2016) comes this much wound out.... Is that normal?

Does not leave much play, or has it got 1 too many links?

OEM Chain

It will have been adjusted for 45-50 mm of slack as per the Owner's Manual by the dealership prior to you taking delivery of the bike. The OEM chain length on the 2015/16 model is 120 links. This is to compensate for the longer wheelbase and differing geometry when compared to previous models.

Yep completely agree, your chain adjustment is as BMW intended i'm afraid.
