Hi Forum

I've been riding bikes most of my adult life, just had a 7 year gap when my children were babies. I've never owned a BMW before and have recently bought my dream bike, because my commute has dropped from 47 miles one way to 7 miles, so I don't need a seriously large tank anymore. Loving the quickshifter and the arm pulling grunt.

Thinking about a larger screen, but not convinced because the good thing about the standard screen is it keeps the speed legalish because 3 figure speeds are uncomfortable.

Looking at luggage options for the S as I intend going to the Alps this summer. Did the Pyrenees on a Triumph last year and Scotland on a Aprilia the year before that.

Very informative forum

Keep up the good work

Dave

Welcome Dave,

I recommend the MRA double bubbles - I went back to a std screen the other day and realised how much nicer the double bubble makes things.
If you're doing less than a week away I recommend the BMW tail packs (get the one for your year of RR). They are ~33L, mount quickly and securely. But Kriega packs and Ventura are a good bet if you want more packed.

Welcome to the forum Dave. Congratulations on your new bike.

I spent my Uni years in and around Oxford, with some Abingdon and Witney chucked in. Whereabouts are you based?

Thanks for your welcomes. I'm near Didcot, there's so much building going on around here, that there's a layer of grey slime on all the roads. I'm spending longer cleaning than I am riding at the moment!

Welcome Dave - we might see you at the H cafe at some point!?

I used to live in Didcot when i was in the RAF. Love some of the raods around there - back roads to Witney for breakfast!!
