So question I have is, how hard is it to replace this spring? my 2011 has been annoying lately!

easy job. about 3/4hr and you need a tube of sealant for the clutch cover and a clutch locking tool.

Dam the clutch unit needs to come out, think I'll wait to after my track day then.

Not sorted yet and thanks for the info hopefully when it arrives and I've installed it it will cure my shift issues . It's no fun quick shifting into 5th at 13k and finding it's still in fourth

So did you buy the genuine lever and an alpha uprated spring then

I'd not seated the already fitted spring and collar correctly meaning it was loose and bent the torx bolt when I tested it. The whole locking lever came as an assembly rather than individual parts.

So yep fitted new OEM lever and collar with Alpha spring.

Ok parts arrived in the post yesterday from Rainbow, I missed the post man as I didn't here the gate buzzer, I was busy fixing some of my crash damage and writing out a wallet emptying list in the garage.
Here are the pics of what you get:-

I'll take some pics of the installation and comparison of parts as I go hopefully this will resolve my gear shit issue

The pics haven't worked as they aren't links to images per-say.

And how much was it in the end please as my mate is considering doing his. I've just fitted the Factory Pro one that I bought for ?99 Is from the States and it feels much more positive and engaging when I change gear. 😀👍🏻

Do you think I will be able to get this covered under warranty?

Will this stop the quick shifter from cutting when not changing gear?

Every so often my bike thinks I'm shifting when my foot is no where near the shifter and cuts the ignition, as you can imagine this is quite undesirable lol.

How old is your bike
I've not heard of it cutting without the rider attempting a shift

Are you 100% sure? You won't feel the lever through yr boot if you just touch it?

I have size 12 boots so I tend to ride with my toes on the pegs when cruising and it's cut ignition then, maybe I'm catching the shifter but pretty sure I'm not.

But I need to do this spring change suffering with false neutrals :(

As warranty is counted it's a 2011 bike but I have 2 years warranty as I bought it from bmw, not sure if binning it will cause any problems with the warranty.
