I thought it went through the hub?
Does it not fit?

Pin diameter is 23mm - too thick to fit through the wheel hub

Pragmasis only offer a 23mm diameter pin....the hub on the S1000rr would need something like 17-18mm i guess? I can't find anyone else selling a narrower pin but i agree the hub would be a neater solution. The swingarm route is really secure but can be a messy process depending on how clean your chain area is! :-/
