Recommend me dry weather grippy road tyres

As far as I can tell, most 'sporty' tyres offer more than enough grip, but the profile is just as important as the grip, if not more. The Michelin PP3's are unpleasant to say the least, the profile offers an even tip in to around 40deg then after that, highly unpredictable in my experience and usually unpredictable oversteer/wtf moments. A V shaped profile seems to give a sharp tip in (great), then grip and predictability when leaning over 40deg.
Be aware of the profile and your preference between a U and a V shape and shop accordingly. Get that right and all's good!

Bridgestone RS10

I tried a set of Bridgestone RS10s back in 2015 prior to giving up road riding and they were OK but nothing to really get excited about. They are aimed squarely at competing with the likes of the Pirelli Supercorsa SP and Metzeler Racetec RR K3 which in my opinion are both far better tyres. The profile, particularly the rear, is much flatter than both the Pirelli and Metzeler and they do not turn in quite so quickly. Once leaned over they do feel really planted and the front gives plenty of grip. However, under hard acceleration the rear moves around a lot more than the SP and K3 and the traction control subtly intervenes more often. On track this became instantly apparent as the DTC readout on the dash increased and I ended up having to increase the DTC in increments to increase stability. The front felt very neutral throughout and would go wherever you pointed the bike without hesitation; but again it requires more effort to turn in than the competition. For outright grip I would personally recommend either the SP or K3 tyres particularly if your riding mainly on the road with the occasional trackday. Just don't expect much in terms of longevity, as like the SP and K3, they do not last long.

Wind the front preload all the way out. The gen 3 are all wag to stiff up front for the road. Tyres are personal choice. I have tried Racetec K3, M7RR, Sportsmart 2, Pilot road 4,S20 and S21 on gen 3s. Favourite so far was K3. Least favourite as M7RR. Will try Rosso corsa next. Tyres are very much like women, wine and food, no one thing is good for everyone. In truth though most of the tyres available are more than grippy enough for nearly all of us to get the most of anyway.

I went from Supercorsa SP's to M7RR's and although they are a great tyre, I don't have the same level as confidence with the front end as I did with the Supercorsa's - suppose that is to be expected with fast road / occasional track days.

The M7RR's are nearly done now - my NC500 trip this weekend will finish them off and I'll be going back to Supercorsa SP's or maybe the Racetec K3.

It's been playing on my mind to regarding front end confidence with the M7RR. I was thinking about sticking a K3 in the front and leaving the M7 in the back.. [emoji108]

I've had heaps of sets of K3 RR's on my s1000rr, think I'll probably stick to that tyre as suits me. I've had various ones in the past, if your a fast road biker then I'd suggest to stay clear of the Bridgestone s20/21's, do nothing for your confidence IMO. Go supercorsa or K3 RR's for sticky grip. You would be lucky to get ~2000miles to a rear if you ride hard though that's the only compromise.
