Just picked up my new bike, i think the previous owner may have adjusted the gear shift lever to suit their position, is this adjustable?
I'm finding it's not in a natural position for me and having issues changing up and down gears

On standard rearsets its a case of taking the rod off at least one end and adjusting its length.

have a look see if they've moved the actual knuckle that attaches to the gear shaft.theres a little indent notch on the splined shaft (shaft that goes onto the engine) and it shuld be in line with gap on the knuckle that connects the shift rod to the shaft,if not, then that has been moved around the shaft to give a different angle of the shift lever
