finally my son went with me to bmw open day at knockhill in fife scotland uk
this was his 1st time and he loved it

I,ve got a 1999 R1 which I've had from new and my daughter will ride on the back of that but as soon as I a got the bemmer she sat on the back - (Stationery in the garage) and said " No way on this earth would she come out on the bike"

Now replaced Rear Footrest with R&G blanking plates! :'( ??? :

OK, maybe a silly question, but my girlfriend wants a ride on my bike as a passenger. How does one mount that seat, and what do they hold onto? I look at it and think of those fighter jets that have a ladder to climb up into the cockpit!

nice pics pete , glad he enjoyed it , he'll be wanting his own bike next , my lad passed his test and jumped straight into track days , i put a pic of him on his 2nd outing....talk about no fear......
Incidentally i got a decent grab rail on mine from my ventura system which works well but doesn't detract from the seat being little more than a dairy lee triangle

i was at the bmw open day on the saturday , the trade stalls and the live music were crap, thank fook it was free entry i stayed about an hour then left , as events go it wasnt one of Bmw,s best !!!! but thats just my opinion :-\
