How do you remove the lock barrel from the seat or cowl as I want to be able to swap them over. I have looked underneath my seat and removed the plate held in by two torx screws. I have then removed a couple of pieces which act as the actual lock. I can't then seem to go any further and the barrel appears to be held securely. All the black plastic casing surrounding the lock etc does not have any screws etc to remove so I can explore further.

Any ideas on how to do this please.

I did this recently, most through trial and error. So once you you've got the top plate off and the lock barrel is the only thing left in front of you in the hole there is a small silver metal retaining clip at either the top or bottom of the lock depending on which way you are holding the cowl. You just have to push this to one side a driver and the barrel will become free.

This video is crap but it shows the area you need to play with.
