So I've received my rear seat cowl for my S1K (my bike came with the pillion pack). And it's come along with the workshop manual too!

Which is just as well, since the seat cowl comes in pieces. I'm really struggling with one of the steps so I wondered if I'm missing a technique here. It's putting the rubber supports into the inner tail hump section. See the pic below:

It's literally putting a circular peg in a triangular hole! I've tried pushing (the rubber seems quite dry and resistant to budging), I've tried using a screwdriver to manipulate the circle into the triangle, but it just doesn't seem to be having it. Has anyone else done this? Any tips?

Solved it!

The answer, as with so many things in life, is the liberal use of lube and a bit of wiggling. You can also grab the shaft from the other side with some pliers for some extra wiggling O_O
