Paint Quality

To stop my luggage from rubbing on the tail fairing I used gaffa tape to protect it just I have always done on all my other bikes.

Post trip I removed the tape carefully from one side with no issues (I didn't expect any). However when removing the tape from the other side it peeled off vast swathes of lacquer with it!!

Has anyone had issues like this or other issues with the lacquer/paint?

In my experience, I always use electrical tape as it is less adhesive but thick enough to stop damage.
