Oil film on front right side fork leg

When the fork compresses the for stanchion has an oil film left side seems fine, is this an oil seal issue dealer said normal but not from my experience

Can you take a photo of the oil residue? As a premier member you can upload photos natively to the site [emoji41]
 
Thanks oli will do, meanwhile these photos show the incorrect fitment of the dust seal
first picture is the rear of the fork tube where the seal is flush with tube
second you see it?s not sitting flush and actually has damage to it

Can't see much wrong with that..I've replaced seals a few times, you didnt need to look too hard to figure out mine were shot, those look fine to me [emoji106]

Film = packing grease. It melts when it gets hot.
A seal letting oil out would be more dramatic
 
Fork Leg

Looks absolutely fine. You would soon know if you had a leaking fork seal.
