Does anyone know if the 2015 damper will fit the 2012 model... mines gone belly up on the 2012.. They look very similar unlike the 2010/2011 :dejection:

well the Ohlins SD038 kit is supposed to fit the 2012-2014 and the 2015 so that would suggests the OEM 2015 damper will fit the 2012 bike.
the older bikes use the SD033 ohlins kit which has a 6mm mounting hole instead of the 8mm hole.

2010 bike has a 6mm mounting hole in the OEM damper so to fit a 2015 damper you may need sleeve/new bolt.
there are a few cheap 2015 dampers on ebay at the moment

confirmed as I have now fitted it.. the 2015 oem damper fits straight onto the 2012... got it on fleabay for ?79, never used.. right result :triumphant:

I saw that one. Bargain price. Was tempted to buy it just to see if it was stiffer than my stock 2013 damper.

Feels exactly the same as the 2012 one BEFORE it went belly up Joe... without riding it that is..

My ohlins damper arrived today.
Its got 18settings. Pulling them off the bike, setting 12 on the ohlins unit feels like the maximum setting on the stock damper.
Its fitted to the bike now, not had chance to test it yet.

Can u measure the stroke of the rod on the std damper so I can compare and see if my ohlins fits.

The Ohlins damper is 68mm stroke. If it helps, heres a photo of the Ohlins damper next to the 2013 OEM damper.
