NRC Tail Tidy

For info : 2 years ago I fitted the above tail tidy and last week, just before first MOT the reg plate LED light failed! Contacted the supplier who put me in touch with USA manufacturer; was told all parts have a lifetime warranty and they'd send me one in the post!! Trouble was the postage will be about $40! I asked about installing other lights and was told there is a resistor in the mix (for regulating indicator flash rate) and didn't guarantee other lights would be ok!

Does anybody know any different?

BTW the MOT station passed the bike provided I got the light fixed pronto! Also, regarding a recent question about TST rear lights, BMW said the NRC lights would fail the MOT, but clearly they didn't!

Same thing happened to me just before i went Spain this year, resistor blew was in contact with them for help, very helpful but I would not get it before I left and I couldn?t find a replacement resistor to repair, so I bought the TST number plate light does fit and a lot better quality in my opinion.
