Newbie question

Hi, just picked up my gen1 s1000rr today and after taking off pillion seat to put my wallet in I found a black box located there with switch in off position so there is no room for wallet but I?ve got no idea what the box is for my first thought was it?s something to do with alarm maybe is but alarm works anyway even with switch in off position. Maybe someone seen it before?

Just found on ebay and looks like is alarm control unit just this switch in off position confused me

That switch is not oem, the box is the factory supplied alarm.

So what is the switch for?

Its not part of the alarm, lift the drivers seat, trace the cable.

You will have to trace the cable. I have a bazzaz unit on my Gixxer and used something like this to switch modes. Unlikely on the S1KRR though. Does the garage light go on and off when you use it.

Interesting i need to trace the wires where is it connected to
