Re: Guards..

Easy to fit (20 mins), good quality, look great, cheap. Can't really go wrong.

I came across a guy on Facebook advertising radiator guards with a custom print for ?39.99 delivered.

I took a punt and asked him to make me one with my logo on and I have to say I'm extremely happy with the result and for the price you can't go wrong

If anyone's interested he goes by the name of "Race Radiator Guards"

My only concern with a lot of these guards is the amount of air they let through. It appears some let more air through than others. Just sayin (Without the g)

No particular overheating problems here, riding in all weathers including the hottest days of the year this year. Sure, the S1K runs hot, but it doesn't seem any worse with the RRG guards fitted.

Cox Racing

I have a Cox Racing radiator guard kit fitted to my bike and when riding at Portim?o, with track temperatures peaking at 48?C, it had no detrimental affect on engine running temperature.

mines had R&G guards on it since I got it more than 2 years and 12000 miles later, and it's never needed topping up although sometimes in traffic the temp gauge looks a bit scary - 110 + but seems to run high 70's once you get going

110? That is scary. Never see >103 on mine even when it's Tarmac-melting hot.

Radiator Guards

Regardless of cost any radiator guards you fit will be considerably cheaper than replacing a damaged radiator or oil cooler. It's a good investment particularly given how delicate the radiator fins are on the BMW compared to those found on other brands.

Re: Guards..

Oops! I'm guessing I must have doubled up on a topic.
I'll go and give myself a talking to

I saw that on his Instagram page! Lovely
Easy to fit I used the zip ties instead of the lock wire

Re: Radiator and oil guards

Nice design but they look fairly restricted for air flow Snow.

Re: Radiator and oil guards

Yea i thought that but theres a few others on here in another thread that have had no problems with them so thought they were worth a go for the price. I'll have to wait and see when i fit them
