Hi Guys.

I'm due to pick up my new bike next week, a 15 RR. It's already fitted with the HP Akrapovic Slip On. Just after some advice/feedback really. Not sure if I'm keen on it myself. Potentially thinking of changing it but would appreciate some opinions.

I appreciate this topic has probably come up time and time again but I'm new to the forum so bare with me.

Thanks. Jordan.

Yeah the HP Akrapovic exhaust is hideous, you should remove it and give it to me :playful:.

Welcome Jordan, its a decent exhaust even if its not that flash to look at, pm me if you decide to sell

Hiya
Loads of options available
Arrow, Yoshi, it's a popular bike (the best are always great sellers 👍) so plenty of options

I couldn't justify the Akra price so I went Yoshimura R55 and it's incredible

However if you do decide to sell they're in demand second hand fetching ?600 on eBay (800 new I think..?)

If I can fetch ?600 I'll sell it. Fancy an SC Project S1 or an Arrow of some sort.

Akrapovič

If you are planning on using your bike for trackdays I would consider keeping the Akrapovič slip-on as it passes noise testing without issue.

I would consider selling it. Pick the bike up next weekend so I'll ***** it again then and see how I feel about it.

Just had a look at the Yoshimura. Sounds awesome. Where did you pick it up from?

Jordan I can send you a video on whatsapp if you want?

The same video sold the Yoshi to someone on here AND Stephan_Samons on Instagram with his 20k followers 👍

I purchased it second hand on eBay after missing an Arrow slip on that sold (second hand) for its RRP price.
Biohazard exhausts in Florida will post it to the UK with "no fees" as someone else on here did originally for a Yoshi

Hi Jordan, sounds like you're not too far from me. I can (no pun intended) vouch for the Akrapovic though as I have it my '15 and it's a great piece of kit. where you getting your bike from?

+1 for Biohazard. I got an R77 for a Blade a couple of years back, service was spot on. Contact was [email protected] he even offered to write gift $100 value on the customs forms so as to avoid too much tax.

Hi. Yeah I live in Liverpool. I got my bike from Tamworth Yamaha. They'd taken it in as part ex. Got all the right bits on it and got a good deal. Can't complain really.

Dont think you'll get much better for that money , I have the baffle in as I don't want/need any undue attention from plod etc. I don't think it's any louder than standard, I only changed it cause the original is ****** horrible!

I'm still running a standard exhaust and really have no need to change it except maybe for aesthetics. I like the sound the standard can makes, and they're cheap (very!) to replace, however i think the bike deserves something better looking.

I was thinking of something like this : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/331905507952?dest=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331905507952

Does anyone have any experience / thoughts on this can? (BTW, sorry to hijack but it seemed pointless starting a new thread when the subjects are so similar).
