After a visit to the nice people at Pidcock BMW in Nottingham, I have nice clean and working bike again

My bike went into the 'shop' for a couple of issue - primarily the ignition switch as I noted in other threads, but as a secondary set of issues, the quickshifter was causing me grief, hesitating between gear changes and throwing me forward when I'd been accelerating hard.

BMW said they'd identified a possible problem with 1 of the 2 tiny frail microswitch levers in that it was slightly bent. They have resolved this, but only after giving the bike a refresh of software to the latest versions. I rode home yesterday with the slickest quickshifter I've experienced. I did have one false neutral between 2nd and 1st though - might have been me, so giving it the benefit of the doubt.
