Not be long now lads .. Sunday am we're OFF.. who runs what pressures on Motorway/Touring... I'll have some luggage also..am I back around 36/42 region ?

Stuart

I've just got some new tyres and they said 36/39 for the road. And that's a set of pirelli rosso corsa. So sounds about right to me.

I'd probably go with 36 F 42 R.

42 psi is generally good when carrying a pillion, but as you're carrying luggage and doing a lot of straight line mileage (I imagine?) I'd probably just go for 42 psi.

Not long now Stuart! :D

If you're not using it already RainAlarm XT is the business

Yea not long now Oli... anyone know the best weather map for europe... just for a bit of planning ?

Not sure about a weather app, but for Sat Nav I use the TomTom Go app with the whole of Europe locally downloaded, it includes speed cameras and live traffic data and auto re routing.

On a different note, I'm having a glass of Auchentoshan (one of your recommended whisky's I believe?), here's to a fantastic tour Stu, cheers!

This reminds me, somewhat of Edradour, matured in Bourbon casks.

When I go to Scotland I'm going to have to do some Distillery tours ...

Looks good Alex I've DL it just there,,,cheers

Just a note, it will alert you without being opened if it knows your location, in iOS you can set that to always or only when the app is open.

If you are in the **** deep enough to be asked to provide your V5 you might as well bend over and grab your ankles mate. Stop worrying. Passport, driving licence, copy of insurance are all I ever take. I'm just about to start my return trip tomorrow (decided to bin the ferry and head back up to the tunnel in 2.5 days instead) and I keep looking at stuff I packed and think what a waste of space that was lol.

Haha what makes you think I'm worried lol... I've copied it and didn't want to take the original.. I haven't even packed anything into my bags yet...I'll bare your comments in mind when I get to 2 pairs of denims and socks lol.

Well with pants it's simple: "front, back, inside out front, inside out back ... and then by the time the skid marks are dry you can start all over lol"

You will love it. I've ridden the Napoleon road , from Nice all the way through the Alps in blistering heat. You'll have few ups and downs but it's the best thing anyone can do. Have a great ride and good luck with the weather.

Judging by the forecast I've just watched on BBC world news I think it's fair to say you have taken the weather with you.
