Unless your racing at SSTK level there is absolutely no point in purchasing a RCK unless you want to part with ?1100, plus a considerable amount of money having it tuned properly by a BMW trained specialist on a Dyno. The HP Racing Data Release and Mapping is more than sufficient for most.

Think was 900 ish maybe wrong. I phoned up other week.
Tuning ain?t a prob my good friend tunes race bikes for tt ect
Won?t cost much for me.
He just done my bike for next to nothing.
I Just like to have the goodies when comes to mi bikes.

HP Race Calibration Kit

Fair enough but unless it's a race bike and your quick enough on track to benefit from it then I wouldn't bother. There are only a handful of tuners in the UK that I would trust using an RCK. Just note it will also completely invalidate your warranty if you go down the RCK route. The choice is yours!

Just get a PCV + Dyno. I'm over 200bhp just from Akra, Air filter and a PCV with map.

That?s what I?m at 200 with full arka evo and bmc with rapid racing and custom map.
But I want more lol

HP Race Info

HP Race Enabled ECU and HP Racing Data Release & Mapping = Restricted Warranty
HP Race Calibration Kit = Voided Warranty

When fitting the HP Race Power Kit and/or race enabling the ECU and loading the associated racing data release and mapping you are required to sign a disclaimer by BMW. Essentially you are acknowledging the fact that you have fitted race equipment and ECU mapping to the bike and that it is no longer considered suitable for road use. In essence it becomes a race bike. The activation of the race function of the ECU cannot be reversed and is permanently reprogrammed. The warranty is restricted as a result of installation. Recalls are still covered but if BMW deem that any major equipment failure is due to race use it is their discretion as to whether or not a claim against the warranty can be made. If you install the RCK then your warranty is completely voided.

You'll have to go into the engine then. Not a cheap job

Power

Power figures are largely irrelevant unless you actually have the ability to use it all!

Power

That's the point at which I would rapidly loose all interest in the conversation. But each to their own!

I was hoping it would reach way over 200hp as bmw state there 17 bikes are 199 standard Pmsl.
I?m really happy with it though after having the mods n map and dyno to see what improvement it?s made.
It?s always nice to have them big numbers.
And yeah will never use it to it?s true potential. I?ll do the odd track day but mainly just a Sunday summer bike.

Bear in mind that manufactures claim crank hp, whereas a Dyno measures the wheel hp, which typically results in a 12-15 % loss through the drivetrain

What fuel module do you currently use? or has the ECU been reflashed?

On average, based on convo?s with tuners.
Out of the crate the various years have gotten weaker despite manufacturers claims.

10-11 were 195rwhp
12-14 were 190rwhp
15-16 were 184rwhp
?17 are 180rwhp

But power/torque delivery have improved to mask the drop off and make it possible to access the power more easily...combined with chassis improvements

Forgot to add that RWHP and the HP at the crank do differ, crank is higher as there are no drive line losses incurred.
Manufacturers will use the crank figure and I suspect on that basis only the ?17 is below stated expectation.

Power figures are largely irrelevant, it's how it makes it....
BHP gain is a indirect result of very careful mapping making the delivery as perfect as possible for where you may want it.
As stated, it's no good having 200+ if you can't use it, think it was Iddon who said we had to trim the power back to get the grip lol
