I have a thing for good lights at night
so I have fitted hids to my s1k and my streetfighter blade
the only downside is that the flasher is useless
i bought a pair of LEDs ?35 which seems not bad
what surprised me is that not as big as I had expected
because my s1k is at painters I couldn't try them
but I have my mates rr4 blade
and they fitted bit of messing about but not much
and he has a usefull flasher again :) has anyone else fitted LEDs to there bike and if so what do u think?

Are you talking about H7 LED's like OPT7's?

If so, the Lumens are not as good on these after market units and the fans/heatsinks stop you putting the caps back on. HID Dipped and Halogen Full Beam are IMO less messing about, good enough at legal speeds, still seal the units.

6000 lumins
I'm sure they are...and how far do they throw those 6000lumens? I see 6k colour and 3000lumens per bulb (advertised as 6000lumens with 2 bulbs).

3000 is a lot btw. If they go in the housing then they could be ok. But the distance the light goes can be much less than expected.

Well I have been using 4300 hids as they produce white light rather than the hotter blue light
but without testing the LEDs at night I can't testify to there effectiveness
but I will once weather is better
but the flasher is very effective unlike the hids
they seems as bright in shed and considerably brighter than standards

4300 HID's are 4300K Kelvin - its the temp/colour of the bulb.
I can see the attraction of going for a nice white LED but yes it needs testing. I don't think they will out perform your HID's the technology for aftermarket LED's just isn't mature yet. If you're happy to test them and report back that would be ace. I'm also happy to check anything you're thinking of buying to see if its any good - I've done a fair bit of research on CREE's and HID's from my Supra modding days.

I agree I always preferred hids for brightness
but the LEDs were only ?35 a pair so thought I'd risk it
they do have a fan on back ,so I thought would be too big to fit, they fitted fine
i like good lights for obvious reasons
will let u know my thoughts when out riding at night
but not for a few weeks untill weather gets more clement

Ahh didn't know you actually HAD them. (Goes back and reads properly)
Ok cool - can we see pics?
