Bike looks great Simon!

Hope you have a good, safe, day tomorrow and that the wets perform well (I?ve never used wets before!).

Look forward to hearing how you get on in due course :)

Oli

Nice one Simon, have a great day! Looking forward to reading all about it.

Did you have to recalibrate anything when swapping to the standard wheels?

Wets

Make sure that you keep heat in them from the very first moment that you get out on track and you will be fine. Pressure and tyre warmer temperature settings / times for wets are different so be sure to check the 'Stickys' in the Racing & Pit Lane section for tyre manufacturer recommendations.

No warmers today Ryan. Literally riding bike up then going on track. Will be building pace slowly throughout the day.

Wets

Just remember wets are marked NHS and are race tyres so are not road legal.

Wets

A general rule of thumb with wets is if you don't see spray coming off the track then don't use them. If you do use them on a drying track you will destroy them pretty quickly.

There was no debate about tyres today🤣🤣. Great fun today and soaked to the bone but home in one piece. Into the 61's today so happy with that.

Really glad you had a good day Simon, and fantastic riding by the looks of your video, you were flying round! [emoji16]

Some pace for wet conditions :crash_smilie:
I really want to try the wet, it's something I never thought I'd want to do.

Wets

Riding on track in the wet really isn't all that bad. If you have a well set-up bike on full wets the amount of grip that you can find is phenomenal. It's simply a case of being smooth and progressive with the throttle and when braking keeping the bike as stable as possible. The best wet weather riders are those that do those two things extremely well, combined with a good set-up, and can subsequently better exploit the grip that exists. The only point to note is the margin for error is a lot smaller on a wet track and the risk of crashing is significantly higher. I did exactly that last season...

Re: Wets

Great video Simon - riding really quick and smooth - what settings / mode did you use ?
Hi, as it was my 1st time with wets I was running in sport mode. ABS was kicking in a couple of times into hairpin but I felt sport was holding me back on acceleration and also I had no slides or DTC activating. Maybe next time I'll use race mode [emoji2]
