Is your one broke? these are more like 1000bhp/ton surely? :biggrin-new:

No, it's not broken, but I do include the rider, as without one it doesn't matter how high the power to weight ratio is.

Gen 3 BMW quoted wet weight ~204KG.
Realistic BHP @ wheel maybe 185.

Add an average sized 90KG rider in kit, and you've got 289KG @ 185BHP = 629BHP/metric ton.

Obviously my maths are shot - it's 294KG @ 185BHP = 629/metric ton.

This actually is all irrelevant as us mere mortals cannot use it all, (except down the pub) it's really just a by-product of having more noise and it set up properly. :biggrin-new:

Exactly. That's why I'm spending my 2.5K on having the garden landscaped, and leaving the bike alone. It's quite powerful enough for me as it is, and it's not like my willy will get any bigger with more BHP :)

Don't know why I bother asking questions on here :(

A good point and well presented, and completely validates why I am not a rocket scientist!!! :applouse:

Right well I've just got back from getting everything sorted and though some of you may disagree I did go ahead and get a -
Full akra
PCV
Custom map
Chain and sprockets
Air filter

The bike has 193bhp at the rear wheel and feels amazing. Very happy with HM.

Cheers

EDIT: Austin racing de-cat with no remap my bike had 179bhp.

Re: HM Racing

I've only ever heard good things about tuning work done by HM Racing and they always come recommended.

Yeah I'm very happy with them, All of them were very nice to me, The mechanic came out and explained everything and wrote down things I need, Jordan also very polite. Will defo use them again.

Very glad to hear you had a good result and are now happy with your bike :).

On a side note, did you speak to them about the "ticking" and if so, what did they say?
