Hi all
I have a 2017 RR and am thinking about fitting rear-sets for road use. I am 6ft 1" and I am interested in giving myself a bit more leg room for longer runs. Can anyone tell me if the BMW HP rear-sets allow adjustment lower than the stock ones. I won't be doing track days on the bike so not so worried about spares etc. If I drop it I will have more to worry about than the rear-sets!!
Cheers

Hi mate, I'm approx the same height as you and found the bike slightly cramped compared to my panigale.
The HP rearsets have definitely helped ( I don't have measurements or stats just less strained knees after long trips), although I initially found them more vibey than stock ( bizarrely on the right side only).
That seems to have subsided ( or I've got used to it).
Other options for more legroom is a comfort seat (aesthetically not my cup of tea) or apparently you can get peg extensions for the OEM sets ( not an expert here, I'm sure other more experienced members will be along to help here).

Enjoy the bike.

Ta for the info @Rosso, strangely I found the bike I did the test ride on nice and comfy. I didn't clock whether it had stock rearsets or not. Upper body is great but after maybe 50 miles a tiny bit more leg room would be nice. If they did a comfort seat in all black I would be tempted but not a fan of the black red white seat. My bike is a red, white one and the multi coloured seat would be too much.

I absolutely promised myself I would keep this bike stock and after two and a half days ownership and 200 miles ridden it's got Evotech paddock stand bobbins and bar ends, has an Evotech tail tidy on order and I am eyeing up rearsets. Oh well, nothing changes. Where did I put that Akrapovic catalogue?

The bike itself is absolutely lovely though and will be even more so in four hundred miles time when the first service gets done and I get access to more revs, power and toys.

Enjoy the derestricted motor Bertie. Comfort seat does what it says on the tin. Looks wise...

Hi, I had the hp rearsets fitted yesterday by Lind, haven't checked yet but they were set as the stock rearsets with adjustment only available back and up apparently. They are a lot more aggressive in terms of grip which is what I was looking for. I'm 6ft1 and find the bike quite comfy. They deresricted it yesterday. OMFG........

Ha ha love your reaction. See how often you can actually keep high rpm up on road and its for mere seconds with the s1k!

The rearsets are great for grip especially in the wet. I noticed the stock rearsets didn't seem to be abrasive enough on the undersole in boots especially in the wet.

Got the HP ones fitted today and they are MUCH nicer than stock. Better length (shorter), nice and grippy plus very adjustable. You can slide them forwards and back (back is upwards too) plus rotate them for more height adjustment. Mine are set forwards and low and feel really comfy. Men is broke in for its first service next Friday so counting the days
