How to adjust new clutch cable ?

Suppose I took the entire clutch cable out, and now I have to re-install it back.
Is there a manufacturer instructions on how to do it right ?
(I mean, how much to adjust up, near the lever, and how much down, and is it important which one I adjust first ?

IIRC the recommended adjustment will be clutch cable free play or clutch lever free play as they may call it. This is the amount the clutch lever moves before tension is placed upon the cable.

The rule of thumb is if you can’t achieve this at the clutch lever through the adjustment there then you adjust at the engine end

If you remove and replace, just make sure the routing is as OE
