I'm a current S1000r owner looking to change to an rr, I need access to all your info, hints & tips to help me decide if I really need that extra 30 to 40 bhp..:encouragement:

Hi Burtzeek, welcome to the forum. Of course you need the extra horses :).

Welcome,

I think you'll find there more than horsepower, like; wind protection, styling, lean angle (if you go on track) and a better forum :p !

Cheers Guys, in terms of the extra horses I wont need much persuading, the other reasons I'm looking to change are what you have mentioned alex, wind protection and track use.

S1000R.co.uk is a great forum so if this is better I cant go wrong..

If you want to track it - then make your first job a visit to a suspension specialist. Having the suspension set to your weight etc can make or break enjoyment...and we have these things for fun right. Out-of-the-box settings will not do in many cases.

Welcome Burt, you'll find the RR and in particular the gen3 practical and comfortable as well as being fun and ferociously fast, get it changed!

Welcome aboard!

I'm a recent S1000RR owner myself - was torn between the S1000R and the RR but very happy I chose the latter. If I had to watch all those RR owners sail past me I'd have been regretting the other decision - I'm sure you wont regret the upgrade (unless you take a pillion).

Hi Burtzeek, Welcome to the site. The R is a great bike but you sound like you have an itch that needs scratched.
