I just got some hp Gilles rear sets
Lots of adjustment and the pegs are rock solid compared to the oem ones

May be wrong here but arnt rearsets to give you more ground clearance? i.e. more cramped position? thats why i never bothered, at 6'3" i need all the room i can get lol + they dont swivel if you fall over?

Ive had a set of HP rearsets very nice product well made very adjustable. Only thing that bothered me was that when they are at there furthest point back they obscure the stand. Petty i know but it bothered me... and they do not do race shift pattern.

Ive been looking at Vortex rear sets dont know if anyone has tried them? they can swap between road and race shift with no need to move the shift rod or foot peg.

Just fitted these gilles fx rearsets to my bike, very nice. Be aware though that the only adjustment is higher and further back than stock, you can't have the pegs lower or further forward. I got them from the same retailer too, you'll get them next day via FedEx.

I have these fitted to my S1000RR - i assume these are the HP ones people have mentioned? Were they standard equipment or an optional extra? Are they fully adjustable? I havent had a chance to tinker yet as its still at my friends garage!!

These are indeed the HP ones which are made by Gilles and are a very expensive option from BM so don't scratch em. They are adjustable every which way.

If you read the original post and look at the ebay link you'll see that he's looking at the gilles fx ones, not the hp ones....

Thanks fella - have to say i think they look stunning on the bike and are totally unlike any rearset ive ever seen - but i was concerned that they might be all style and no substance - so im no looking forward to having a little fiddle with them!

hello

Did you get the new pegs ?

I have just bought a s1000 and after my first big ride my legs were really cramped.

The R&G ones look good

Got some diamond ones. Manufactured in this country, are adjustable & can do either race or road shift. Am 6'-1" & have long legs & don't have any problems with these.

One thing I've seen mentioned in every forum about Gilles stuff is FFS don't overtighten the bolts as they appear to be made of cheese and the heads strip as soon as you look at them. Have heard it said time and time again. Not great for an expensive bit of kit, IMO, if it's true.

I've got austin racing ones on my bike they are real good quality and strong with plenty of adjustments but they ain't cheap

I don’t normally change the pegs on my bikes (too tight!) but I’m finding that that my feet, particularly the left, creep of the pegs. The original pegs seem quite grippy so I’m guessing it’s the vibration from the bike that is causing this. The pegs and the bars can get real vibrations through them at certain revs.C hanging to rearsets won’t stop the vibrations but if the peg grip is a bit more aggressive my feet might stay on better. Anyone else noticed this?
